Halloween Box From My Pocket Money Toys

We received this months Halloween Box to review and couldn’t wait to check it out! The girls opened their box to find a Bouncy Eyeballs Kit, Soft Cuddly Bat, Stretchy Skeleton, Funny Eye Glasses & Glow in the dark Slime. There is also a colouring sheet, My Pocket Money Toys Stamp Book, stamp book stickers, chocolate ghost lolly & sweets. That’s a great selection for any child at Halloween!

Soft Cuddly Bat

Izzy of course had to have the Bat & Stretchy Skeleton, they are keeping her rather amused with one flying across the room & the other sticking & hanging from the walls and ceiling haha! Izzy decided the Colouring Sheet was also hers.

Eva loved the Funny Eye Glasses and has added them to her dressing up collection. The Glow in the dark Slime caught Eva’s attention too. As it comes with a glow in the dark bracelet to wear too Eva couldn’t wait to get it open. The Bouncy Eyeball Kit is something she is really looking forward to making this week to scare her friend for Halloween haha!

In each subscription box from My Pocket Money Toys you will find a Stamp Book and Stamps, collect 10 & you get a free toy! I love this idea and My Pocket Money Toys Subscription boxes, they really are great fun & a lovely surprise when they arrive for the kids. Whilst prices do vary depending which subscription you choose starting at £37.80 – £43.20 for a 3 month subscription. I think they are definitely worth it considering how much you get in each box.

Weekend Box – Snazaroo Face Paints

Weekend Box have teamed up with Snazaroo and created a fantastic face paints box. Eva loves Weekend Boxes, you may remember she reviewed some boxes last year and had her photo featured on Facebook too! We love subscription boxes that keep us entertained over the weekend. Weekend Boxes are suitable for 4-9 years. This fabulous mini box is just £2.99!

Weekend Snazaroo Box

Of course Eva was extremely excited to discover a Weekend Box addressed to her this week and couldn’t wait to see what was inside and start having some creative fun!

Inside The Weekend Box

Weekend Box

Eva still loves the characters on the box and how it is packaged, she loves that she can open the box and read about the animals before finally discovering what’s actually inside the box. She remember the cute woodland characters from last year and loves Hattie the Hedgehog.

Snazaroo Face Paints!

As you can see Eva was really excited to discover her Weekend Box had Snazaroo face paints inside! Snazaroo face paints are suitable from 3 years. They are so easy to use, just add water, even Izzy joined in and had a go. Snazaroo face paints are made in the UK, they are skin friendly, fragrance and paraben free and are formulated from premium cosmetic ingredients to be gentle on skin. We all have sensitive skin, cheap face paints causes rashes but we have no problems at all with Snazaroo face paints.

With 2 fun Snazaroo face painting kits to use Eva couldn’t wait to start using them. Eva loved the Birthday party face paint stamp kit. She especially loved the cupcake and face stamps so we started with those.

Cupcake Face Paint

We tried out the mini face paint kit next and decided to follow the directions on the box to see if it was as simple as it looks. We need a little more practice but Eva loved the end result! The 3 step guide was so easy to follow and Snazaroo have more guides online.

The Snazaroo Weekend Box is so much fun and something we can use again. You can invite some friends round & paint all their faces as there is plenty of paint in those kits! This is definitely something we would recommend as it kept us busy for quite some time. Of course we then had 2 clowns running around causing havoc in the flat haha!

Because Snazaroo face paints are water based they are so easy to clean off. Using wet wipes we had clean faces again in minutes! We love the mini kit so much! There are five vibrant themes available – Summer, Carnival, Halloween, Christmas and Easter. The colourful summer packs include a fun Festive Mask (made up of bright pink, white and royal blue) and a Jester (featuring grass green, white and purple).

Bytesize Box – UK Subscription Box Launching August 25th!

Bytesize Box is being launched August 25th in the UK. I discovered Bytesize Box recently and found it completely different to any other subscription box we’ve heard of so far. I am always on the lookout for new and exciting subscription boxes for the girls to try and I’m certain they will absolutely love Bytesize box!

Bytesize Box – What is it?

Bytesize box is a monthly subscription box of practical electronics you and your child can build together. The idea is to encourage children to learn about the environment, sustainability and recycling through electronic projects.

Bytesize box introduces recycling to children in a fun way based on their core values, sustainability, fun and learning! Recycling is something we should all encourage our children to do but it can be tough. Bytesize box encourages children to play and learn as they recycle making it much more interesting and fun for children.

Bytesize Box – What’s inside?

Each month you will receive a Bytesize Box containing 1 or 2 experiments revolving around the theme for the month. Each experiment requires something to be recycled to finish them off such as a plastic bottle, cardboard box or both! Every experiment will turn into something fantastic for you and your child to play with! Bytesize Boxes include full instructions on their website alongside videos to help build the experiments. Most experiments use a small computer which can be customised further by adding more components, changing the code or even rebuilding it into something else entirely!

Subscribe to the email list

Bytesize Box are currently building an email list of people interested. I’ve signed up myself as I know both girls would absolutely love Bytesize Box. The free recycling and activity pack in the welcome email are fantastic. It costs nothing to sign up and well worth doing for the fun activity pack which shows you 3 fun ways to recycle bottles! You can sign up here for free and get your free download straight away!

Trying A Box

Bytesize box will be launching August 25th and all customers who try a box will be entered into a prize draw to win a 3D Printer! The cut off to order your first box is August 31st. Bytesize Box costs just £19.99 with free P&P!

Eva’s Thoughts

Subscription boxes like these are great but I do like to find out what Eva thinks of them. Who knows better than a child when it comes to children’s subscription boxes? Eva’s first reaction was ‘WOAH! That is SO cool!’. She wanted to do the activities right away! Unfortunately we need to finish off our milks first so we will be doing one of the activities this weekend! Keep an eye out on my Instagram to see what we make!

Do you think Bytesize box is a fantastic idea too? Is it something your kids would love?
